The Thousand Islands are a chain islands to the north of Jakarta's coast. Its forms the only of Jakarta regency, the capital of Indonesia. Its consists a string of 110 islands stretching 45 kilometers north into the Java Sea.
A decree states that 36 islands may be used recreation or vacation spots. Of these 36 islands, only 11 islands are fully developed, 11 islands are home to resorts islands and two islands are historic parks. 23 islands are privately owned and are not open to the public. The rest are the islands ere either uninhabited or support a fishing village.
An are of 107,489 hectares of land and sea was declared by Minister of Agriculturein 1982 and designated by a Forethstry Ministrial Decree in 2002 as the Taman Nasional Laut Kepulauan Seribu. Public access are prohibited in the two islands in Kepulauan Seribu. Panjaliran Barat island and Panjaliran Timur island, where the sea turtles are conserved.

The most perfect facilities at the Kepulauan Seribu is located in Bidadari Islands. Unlike other islands, bidadari islands resort has a resort that located on the sea, most known as Floating Cottage. Cottage is a house on stilts over the water like a fishing village. There are also cottage on the land which consists of two models of the stage model and non-stage models.
If you want to play water game, you can play banana boats, jet sky, canoe or sea kayak and the other activities such as fishing and swimming at the beach. On the shore there is a hall to seating relax or just lying relieve fatigue and enjoy the cool coastal breeze. Bidadari island also have a garden under the shade of the tree so you don't need to worry about overheating.
